For 50 years the Lutheran Home of Middletown served older adults in need of long term care. The Lutheran Home was razed in 2003 to make way for Luther Ridge.

For 15 years Luther Manor has provided affordable independent apartment living for older adults within a congregate setting.

Both residential programs earned the gratitude and respect of residents, families and the community for the quality of service and care that they have delivered for so many years. Service of such excellence is a direct reflection of the mission of Lutheran Social Services of New England:

We will preserve our tradition of caring for older adults of all backgrounds and beliefs while offering to meet the spiritual as well as physical needs of residents who desire such ministry.

• Independent living apartments for low income   older adults. • Assisted living for persons who require   some help, including medical support, with   the activities of daily living. • Congregate living for persons who desire   limited support services.

• A lively menu of activities, entertainment,   outings, gatherings and more. • A fulfilling program of spiritual ministry for   members of all faiths.

An affordable community. Luther Ridge offers:

• Independent, congregate and assisted   living for older adults who meet income   requirements. • Approval for Medicare, Medicaid and long   term insurance.
